The Essential oils chosen for this blend are well known Tick repellents. Cedral, which is the chemical constituent in Cedarwood, has been proven to kill Ticks on contact and Lemon Eucalyptus has been used since 1940 as a highly effective natural insecticide. Also included are Geranium, a well known tick repellent and Cypress.
The above oils create this blend along with a little Fractionated Coconut Oil to moisturize and carry the oil and is mixed/emulsified in alcohol to be used as a spray.

Apply evenly and thoroughly to shoes and lower legs. If using on dogs apply to your own hand and then rub onto the dogs legs and underside, avoid getting too close to the face. Reapply as needed.
*This is a deterrent/repellent to reduce the number and frequency of ticks, you should still always check your dog after walking in fields and tall grass.
Note: Essential Oils are volatile oils, meaning they evaporate (vapour). This is what makes them effective whether diffusing, wearing as a perfume or using as a repellent and because of this you may need to reapply every 60 minutes or so.

For topical use add at a rate of 5% to carrier oil of choice for body application and 3% for facial application.

Please be advised we do have soap in our stores that is unwrapped and scented with essential oil. As a result, some items (clothing, soft dolls & silicone items) will absorb the smell . If you are extremely scent sensitive we advise that you please consider this before you purchase. When the items arrive, you can air out or wash to help dissipate the essential oil smell. Please note we do not pay shipping on returned items based on essential oil scent.
