Crisp and sweet, lime is an uplifting scent that is a very popular oil to use in bath and body products. It is believed to help reduce the appearance of dark spots and is often used in mature skin preparations. Our lime is cultivated in Italy. It is one of the best climates for citrus production. Though it holds only 4% of the worlds citrus production, it's quality for essential oils is truly excellent.

Main Constituents: Limonene: 49.37%. and γ-Terpinene: 13.43%

Processing Method: Steam distilled.
Description / Colour / Consistency: A thin, colourless to pale yellow liquid.
Aromatic Summary / Note / Strength of Aroma: A top note with a medium aroma, that has a wonderfully crisp lime smell that is characteristic of all citrus essential oils. Very fresh and uplifting, great for children
Blends With: Allspice, Bay, Bergamot, Cedarwood, Cinnamon Bark, Clove Bud, Ginger, Grapefruit, Lavender, Melissa, Neroli and Petitgrain.

Caution: As with all citrus oils, Lime is Photosensitive and will give a sunburn if exposed to direct sunlight shortly after use.
For topical use add at a rate of 5% to carrier oil of choice for body application and 3% for facial application.
Not recommended for internal use unless under the guidance of a professional aromatherapist.
